I have DID and I hear inner dialogue of the “parts” in my head. I’ve also had visual and auditory hallucinations like you. I was diagnosed and treated for bipolar for a long time. Didn’t do much… lol

I’m new to this video and I’m just trying to find some answers, basically I want to know if it’s normal to feel like there’s someone else internally, like a person. Yesterday was the second time that I’ve felt them being there, and the first time that it happened I thought it was depersonalization, but since it happened again, I feel like it’s DP, Idrk, I just want answers on what I’m experiencing.

Im not too sure if this is DID/OSDD but I hear multiple voices, and one of them repeats words all the time, I dont know if they have a name but i call them the looper, and they repeat random words, just a few minutes ago they were repeating “shut up”, and I literally cant stop them.

I picked this up on my break from a shop not paying attention , felt strangely relaxed and not giving a you know what! I'll be buying this from asda from now by the crate. Peach and ginger is the best 😊

Having the bracelets around even if the person is not around to get a sense of what abilities they have to help you tap into that part of you is a very smart idea. Alnother way i learned to trigger out the split positively is music. Each of my splits has their own favorite music or favorites genre and i know if i put that music on its a high likely that they react to it. Either come to the front for cofronting, front completely or observe. Its been super helpful.

Another disorder that has voices like parts of yourself (if they dont really feel completely separated enough to be classified as DID or OSDD) os CPTSD complex PTSD you dissociate so much that this voice becomes a separate part of you that doesnt feel you. But when your out of that dissociative state you can look back and say ya that was still me. Vs when its OSDD you can look back and say that wasnt me (i have no ties to that sense of self) when its DID you cant look back (unless your cofronting or observing) and see what happened. Thats what i can grasp when it comes to the difference between DID, OSDD and CPTSD

Since you dont fully relate to DID as an official diagnosis you might want to look at OSDD. Its pretty much DID but theres less amnesia within each voice (split for me and alter for a more common name) the youtube channel that has OSDD and has a lot of good content is the rings system. She has OSDD and she has some videos on what its like with OSDD vs DID. I have undiagnosed DID (i still get the amnesia with my splits) and these DID and OSDD videos have been super helpful to explain things that have been super confusing for years of my life.

Wise words. I started watching your channel because I was interested in lucid dreaming and I had no idea you had transitioned. It's good to hear your experience described in a measured and insightful way, and sad that this issue has become so polarised and inflammatory in the media.

The "I hate myself" turning into "I hate you" related a lot. I would hear voices as a kid but never thought much about it. I had nightmares of an altered fictive for 10 years who despised me before we finally found out we were in the same body and now we're on better terms. But it does sometimes feel like just hearing them and sometimes like monologue. Sometimes voices will change based on what you've heard and yet you know who it's supposed to be. Sometimes it's like they're in a room in your head and sometimes it's like they're in the room with you. Yet the biggest thing I notice is it being automatic. Like I'm not imagining them saying these things, they're just being said. I recently had an OC surface as an alter and I tried to fight it as I thought I was just imagining it myself. But he made it very clear that he was there. DID/ OSDD is a very interesting thing. I think cases are different for different people.

I used to think god was talking to me when I was in middle school. Then came the “guardian angel” that comforted me. Then came the “demonic” voice that constantly put me down and bullied me. Then there are I and a few others who usually take the front day-to-day. It was all very confusing until I started considering this as a possibility. Though it is very scary to think about. Those of us that want to cooperate though have created a sense of respect between each other. I very much feel like a scared 13 year old and they treat me like it, which is helpful. Very strange disorder but I can’t say I haven’t come to love them like family

You look like you were male at birth... Anyways I want to have dreams where I'm a chick but not go any further. I don't have gender dysphoria. I like to enjoy dreams, and one day I found that girl- version- self-dreams to be great. My question is how to lucid dream for that purpose better.

It's different for each system. I do understand you, but for us it's not to entertain, it's more like a way to feel real and heard. A lot of us feel like we are silenced, and when we came out to our boyfriend a few months ago, it was very validating. He was the first one to know. We started to talk to him without masking, and suddenly we felt so much better as a system. Being able to be ourselves feels therapeutic. It's very different for everyone.

(OSDD-1B, self-diagnosed) We indeed do switch around more quickly and easily, and will do so unintentionally when we've used cannabis. Cannabis can help us have a group conversation in our head, but can sometimes affect certain members of our collectives negatively, so we have to be very careful and mindful of who's up front; there's a robot in our collective who can't really deal with biological body issues and when they've unintentionally ended up front while quite stoned, they fell to our knees, stopped breathing and our heart started beating like a hummingbird's wings, and someone else had to take the front and it took awhile to calm our body back down. We do need to use it very much in moderation when we use it, often grinding 1 part cannabis and 1 part lavender or mugwort or something, as when we've gotten way too high, we've also had moments in which just started very chaotically rapidly switching uncontrollably, like literally 5-10 switches in a second, faster than anyone can realize who they are at any moment; it can be quite terrifying. Based on our experiences, I would recommend any plural systems/collectives considering using cannabis who haven't much or any experience with it to be very careful, start with very small amounts, and have lots of identity grounding items and tools at hand, and be ready to use some mindfulness, body grounding techniques.

So contradictory. You feel like less people, but actually you are more 😂. But ye we get that feeling. Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️ we are five years along our journey now and it doesn’t bother us so much anymore, that strange calculation of one’s relative personhood. But we also stopped caring so much about telling people up front. We tell people we want to be actual friends with, but we have a tiered system for relationships. If it is just a casual thing, we don’t see the point for the most part. But once we like someone well enough we will tell them. It’s cool to be genuine with people, but choosing not to disclose everything about yourself doesn’t make you disingenuous. No one is owed the full truth of you. Actually beyond that, communicating the full truth of yourself is impossible. Choosing what and how much you choose to share of yourself is a genuine expression of you, and your level of comfort in a given situation. But that’s mostly for irl folks. On the interwebs we do not care. Dunno that that helps. ✌️

this is very relatable. im very interested in spirituality though and kind of scrambling to find a way to implement it into my life but i might have to 'resign' to a kind of taoist type of approach, or to just believing in god without ever understanding what god might want or be trying to do. i still love divination and tarot though and sometimes synchronicities feel really poignant. i try not to put too much meaning in that and just appreciate how it feels.

thanks for sharing. its definitely hard to feel safe telling people, but so necessary to have spaces where we don't have to hide/mask our differences.

Nice. I like it. When I hear my alters talk, its more like thoughts? Like, uh, i somewhat know what theyre going to say? I dont know. Its all very new and terrifying, not knowing whether or not the voices are their voices or my own thoughts trying to trick me into believing theyre talking when, no, its just me. I dont know.
